Spontaneous

Today, a friend and I went for a lovely spontaneous trip to Fort Canning Park. It was a wonderful little get away and i had a great time! Sometimes i really do like to be all ‘touristy’ and check out the city’s attractions. It’s almost always a great eye-opener and a very refreshing experience.

It’s busting my cycle – something i really needed to do for a long time.

My friends seem to think i am spontaneous. Whenever i hear myself being described as that, i always laugh a little in my mind. I find it somewhat ludicrous actually. I don’t mean any offense to my friends though. It’s just that, they are the only group of people that think that i am spontaneous.

My family, and other groups of friends have the impression that i am more of a planning kind of person. I like to think about things before i actually do them.

I’m not too sure what the truth is. I have to think that i am capable of both: spontaneity and caution. Do i like one more than the other? Yes! i love being spontaneous, i love doing things on impulse. But i also can’t help but realize that the spontaneous experiences that i have are actually, rarely my idea. It is usually someone else who suggest them and i’m the one who says, “Sure! lets do it!”.

So in that sense, i’m not that spontaneous after all.

Anyway, today was great! I had a blast. And hopefully we can do something fun again soon!
